Catch-up

I love blogging, but I have absolutely no time to post things...or I just do not make time. Work has been crazy and I think I teach about 4 swim lessons everyday. I also have developed this cough and I have been wheezing for over a week now. I'm on an inhaler so hopefully I won't have to go in to get even more lung tests. I'm exhausted. So my much needed break will come soon. I absolutely can't wait until I go to Rodanthe. Only 16 more days!

But there is more exciting news! Sweet Simplicity is redesigning my blog for me. I can't wait to see how everything turns out and I hope you guys like it. Her designs are absolutely gorgeous so you should definitely go check them out!

I saw this on another blog a while ago and I thought I would post it on mine. Just some ABC's about me:

A - Age: 20

B - Bed size: a twin xl at school, but I love the space on my queen at home!

C - Chore you hate: Putting away dishes

D - Dog's name: Toby

E - Essential start your day item: A big glass of water

F - Favorite color: Mainly hot pink but I love lavender, yellow and turquoise

G - Gold or Silver or Platinum: Platinum

H - Height: 5'4"

I - Instruments you play: I took piano lessons for 5 years, violin for 2, chorus for 2.

J - Juice: Simply Apple

K - Kid(s): 0 unless you start counting the kids I babysit and teach how to swim. That number is about 50.

L - Living arrangements: I live with my crazy, wonderful family at the beach and I go to school in Northern VA.

M - Mom's name: J

N- Nicknames: Shippy or formally Shipwreck. When I first learned how to surf I crashed into the beach just like a "shipwreck."

O - Overnight hospital stay other than birth: I had horrible stomach poisoning 2 years ago.

P - Pet Peeve: People who use "good" when they are supposed to use "well" or when people use "ain't." It sounds so trashy. Also when other students dress horribly to class. Do not even get me started.

I'm changing some things around my blog. Sorry if you have visited my blog and it has been a mess. I'm currently working on it so bear with me :)

Beside my blog mess, the start of my week has been quite busy. Nothing really new, I just don't want my swim lessons with my Tuesday and Thursday class to end. I teach the cutest kids and I was so proud of them today. They have improved so much!

So I just wanted to write a whole post dedicated to swimming and teaching kids how to swim. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for kids to be comfortable in the water and to know how to swim. About 300 children under 5 drown a year. There are several factors that come into play, however one that I wanted to bring up that most people may not know about are water wings. Unfortunately they are not as safe as you may think, the water wings could move to your child's wrists and leave them helpless underwater if they can't pull themselves up. I always recommend a lifejacket. Lifejackets are a necessity, especially for younger kids who have not developed the strength or endurance to swim without support.
So on a happy note here are some cute lifejackets:

The first one is for you and the rest for your kids. I found them all on Amazon.com

I truly care about water safety and learning how to swim. Some of the kids that I teach may annoy me, but I try to teach them the skills and knowledge to really keep them safe. It's summer time so stay safe everyone! Don't just pack it wear your jacket!

The U.S.A. may not have scored much, but I scored on some great deals!

I was very upset that I couldn't go to the Lilly Warehouse sale because I was nannying, but everything happens for a reason because I scored big time at T.J Maxx today! I found so many cute Lilly things for real steals. I ended up getting a silk top and a really cute seersucker skirt.

I ended up paying a little over 60 dollars all together. I absolutely love the top and I am so excited to wear the skirt! I also went to J. Crew today and picked up a few basics. There is a lot of stuff on sale at my B&M store, check out yours I'm sure there are some cute things. You can never go wrong with J.Crew in my opinion.

I'm off to Trader Joe's now! I just wanted to share with you guys on my deals for today!
Bon Week-end!

SO INCREDIBLY EXCITED

I hope that I am not the last one to hear about this, but I saw today on facebook that Georgetown Cupcake's owners are having their own tv show on TLC starting July 16th. I am beyond excited because
1) I am an avid and loyal Georgetown Cupcake Fanatic. They absolutely make the best cupcakes in D.C. and probably the best in the country.
2) I was in the cupcake shop a few times while they were filming. Could I possibly make an appearance on the show? haha

Just of the few of many visits to Georgetown Cupcake.
I'm currently missing my favorite Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes.
At least while I'm away from school over the summer I can watch the Show!

Heres the link from an interview from the owners

Sorry for the delay in posts. I'm currently nannying for my neighbors while they are in Las Vegas. But I hope you guys are as excited for the show as I am!

LOVE LOVE LOVE

So these past few days have been uneventful. I swam about 1000 meters yesterday for my work out and drank only one soda. Today was a little hard and I kind of cheated with the soda and I didn't work out because I had to teach the demon children how to swim. Don't get me wrong I love teaching kids how to swim, but these kids are not well behaved by any means. I am no babysitter at the pool.

On a better note here are my recent love love lovesss. I'm thinking that I NEED them.

This smells so good! I can't wait to add it to my fragrance selection!

I love writing notes and sending cards. This will come in handy.
SO CUTE!

I absolutely adore this dress.

What are the things that you NEED right now?
