my little baby is growing up!

My little gets initiated today and will officially be my little SISTER. She has made me so proud these past few weeks and I am so excited for the new things coming up for her.

I got my paddle a few days ago and here it is!

I just had to brag a little bit in this post because I'm so excited!! I'll post more later this week!

Just around the corner

My birthday, specifically my 21st birthday, is almost here! 27 days away! Don't worry I won't start a countdown yet. But I'm having a joint party with one of my good friends because her 21st is a couple weeks after. The more the merrier right? Well I'm trying to find a dress to wear during this celebration because you only turn 21 once!

Jcrew, Lilly Pulitzer, Bloomingdales (Michael Kors)

I'm really leaning towards the Lilly; however my boyfriend thinks it will look too baggy on me. I think I'm just going to disregard his opinion. And even though my 21st is not as formal or nice per-say, I still want to look FABULOUS!

All of these dresses depend on my money situation, which brings me to some exciting news! I finally got an interview to become a swim instructor at school! Ahhh and my interview is tomorrow! Keep your fingers crossed I really hope I get the position!

I wanted to also thank everyone for the awards recently, I haven't forgotten! School has been busy, Sorority recruitment is this weekend, and along with other things! I'm sorry!

First Day Of Class

Its the first day of class for me and I only have one class! Which is a pretty easy day, except I'm starting my LSAT study regime.

I wanted to start off the week with "What's in my Bag" for class. I would post my first day outfit, but I'm stuck wearing my recruitment counselor shirt. Don't worry I dressed it up enough so its not just a t-shirt :)

First is my bag! I love my Kate Spade Tote. I got it last year for Christmas and it has been perfect for my books.

So now for the exciting part...what's inside?

My glasses, pencil case, my go to writing utensils, keycard case, lilly planner, inhaler (I have mild asthma and its kind of acting up right now), hand sanitizer, my wonderful book for my history class and binder.
Besides my stunning Lilly Planner, I love the case that I got as a free gift from the lilly sale. I love that print and it won't fit my make-up; however, it fits my pencils!

And my keycard case. I cannot ever forget this! I have to swipe my ID to get into the building, several other doors and lastly my room. If I forgot it...well we won't go there. It also has a handy starbucks card, whistle for emergencies and my trusty flash drive.

Young, Fabulous and Broke

After much thinking and some indecisiveness (typical for me) I made the leap and bought something at the lilly sale! Even though I already bought some things from ruelala earlier. Can I get enough of Lilly? No.

I just bought the Roslyn Skirt in Pandemonium. I love pandas and it is perfect for my sorority!

This was my lucky Lilly summer. I'm done...no more spending for moi.

BACK from the other side of the country

It has been way too long since my last post! I am so sorry. I didn't bring my laptop and I just needed some major time with the boy since I haven't seen him in over 2 months. I had such a GREAT time with him and his family. It felt so good just to be with him without the stresses of work and school. The long distance definitely took a toll on us, but right when we saw each other everything fell back into its rightful place.

I love Arizona. It is unbelievably STUNNING. We hiked up and down Camelback Mountain and visited Sedona, AZ. And of course Disneyland was a BLAST!

How could forget this? I bought some great things while in Arizona as well! We went to these outlets outside of L.A. and I bought this cute top from J.Crew and some toothpick jeans. Both for a great deal. AND I scored two beautiful dresses from the Lilly Ruelala sale. The boy bought me the Sabine Shirt dress (sorry I can't find the picture!) and I scooped up the Stephanie Shift Dress!!

Right when I got home from Arizona the package was patiently waiting in my room. I love both and I can't wait to wear them! What did you score in the Lilly sale?

This week is a tad boring for me. I'll just be working away and getting ready for school. I have to go back early for work week, but I'm kind of excited for it. I'm still not ready for it though. Random item I need, well new is a hairdryer. Any suggestions?

An Ice, Cold Glass of Sweet Tea Would be Nice.

Whew, its another hot hot summer day today. I can't really complain though I love summer and the heat. The winter and cold just doesn't suit me. And even though summer is almost ending, I have to go back to school in a matter of weeks for Work Week, I thought I would post about my summer essentials. They vary from person to person, but my summer wouldn't work with

out them.

1.) My Vera Bradley Raspberry Fizz Backpack. Its so easy to carry a few things when I'm

going to lifeguard or go teach swim lessons. It fits just about everything I need.

2.) My skin gets super dry from the chlorine and this is really the only thing that helps. This after-sun smells fresh and leaves my skin pretty moisturized. I'm not into heavy lotion and this is a great light way to quench my skin!
3.) Oh the comfort of these babies! I love these shorts. I have about 5 different pairs and this is one of them. I love the colors they come in especially since I can just pop them over my bathing suit. Nike Tempo Track shorts are a must have for me!
4.) Where would I be without JCrew. These V-necks are a life-saver. They have come out thepast 3 seasons and I don't know where I would be without them. I have them is all of the colors and they are a great light weight tee. They go with everything and I can dress them up and down. I have this one in neon rose and it is a super bright color that makes my complexion pop.

5.) OPI you make great polish. All of their nail polishes stay on my toes for a long time. With the amount of time I spend in the water, cheap nail polish just chips. But with this stuff it hardly ever does. This is Rumple's Wiggin. I love the lavender color!

I of course have other essentials, but I don't think they would all fit.

I'm back!

So this post was long overdue but I think I have a good excuse. I was in Rodanthe, NC for the

past week with no wireless internet! I felt completely disconnected with the world especially since my phone was roaming too. Nevertheless, I still had a great, relaxing vacation with my family. And this week I only work a few days and then I'm off to Arizona to see the boy! Oh I can't wait!

I also just purchased a new agenda. Specifically, a new Lilly Pulitzer 17 month Agenda in White Zin. I love love love it and here it is in all of its glory...

I can't wait to start using it!
